The profiles of Karoo Street are directly taken from the Metzeler Tourance Next range which is a very much street orientated adventure bike tyre. And that was the aim really, for the Karoo Street, to increase this slightly, more aggressive-looking tyre’s road behaviour.

They also feature a multi-radius profile with increased width and overall length of the contour that creates a larger surface footprint area which in turn benefits grip and stability at all angles.

The high silica content of the Karoo Street compound, balanced with carbon-black resins, achieve a high level of grip on the road in wet and dry conditions.

A calculated measure of carbon-black also increases the knobs resistance to “tearing” and pre-mature wear on the road.
